I received my Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry from Azusa Pacific Univerisity and am pursuing my Master's of Science in Educational and Organizational Psychology from Azusa Pacific University
Experience
I have previous experience tutoring over the last few years starting with helping college students while an undergrad and evolving into a profession. I am a teacher in the San Diego Unified School District and tutor students after school. I want to continue being a tutor because I love seeing students understand concepts that they have been stuck on and enjoy understanding what they are learning about! I try to make my lessons as fun as possible so students look forward to tutoring! I enjoy working with students from a variety of backgrounds. I have tutored college students to elementary students. From Advanced Placement Courses to those with Mild/Moderate Behavioral Disability. K-12 is my specialty, however, I have plenty of experience with college students to feel comfortable with working with them as well. I am especially gifted in subjects such as math, English, social studies, and science. I love helping students prepare for larger tests such as the SAT or ACT as well. I love the outdoors. Whether it be surfing, hiking, tennis, biking, or snowboarding, you will usually find me outdoors in my free time! I love traveling and love to adventure and exploring new places and meeting new people. My most recent trip took me to Spain, Portugal, and Italy where I proposed to my girlfriend whom I will marry in the coming months! I love hanging out with students and am a substitute teacher while pursuing my credential. I am involved in mentoring programs with a mission to be a positive role model for students to follow after.
